We:
* support groups to meet their own needs (group capacity building)
* work on projects which promote our aims.
These may be initiated by us or come from outside the organisation - but they must
relate to our aims.
(1) Lessons in Process: the Tawa Story
(2) Te Kupenga o Manukau Community Education website
(3) Adult and Community Education Professional Development Research Project
(4) AWEA QMS upgrades
(5) ICT skills & processes
(6) low cost publishing
(7) grantsmanship
The main priority for our work is the same as our main constitutional objective . This section is the work which does not relate specifically to the cultural diversity and Treaty of Waitangi projects.
(1) Freire in Aotearoa: producing a book of interviews relating to the application of Freirean ideas, at the 'flaxroots'.
(2) the wave and other structural analysis resources
(3) sustainability action
(4) community dialogue
Because of our work about applying the Treaty of Waitangi, people often ask us to do related work about cultural safety, equity, etc. We have decided to make this a new project.
(1) distributing resources:Media and Māori
(2) self-directed learning website
(3) establishing centre for cultural equity education,
application, resources, research
Our major project the Treaty Resource Centre has its own website
