AWEA: Community Education in accordance with the Treaty of Waitangi

Auckland WEA is a not-for-profit organisation focusing on community education that promotes a just and equitable society in accordance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We support groups to build their own capacity and run projects in accordance with our aims.

This is our home base at 18 Ōtara Road, behind St John's Catholic Church and alongside Te Tai Awa o Te Ora Counselling agency.

We currently have two major projects: the Treaty Resource Centre which focuses on Treaty of Waitangi application within organisations, and Culture Matters which focuses on cultural diversity.

Thank you to all the people who support our work, especially the organisations supporting our current projects:

* J R McKenzie Trust
* Tertiary Education Commission
* Federation of Workers' Education Associations
* Adult and Community Education Innovation and Development Fund
* ASB Trust
* AWEA Trust
* Auckland Catholic Justice and Peace Office
