Like many community groups, the Auckland WEA never has enough money to undertake all the work that we want to do; so several years ago we decided to explore whether new information technologies could help us to work smarter. One package of open source (that is, free) software that we like very much is Drupal CMS to build websites - including this AWEA site.
We now are able to share these skills with others and have developed Drupal websites for several groups. Some examples are described below with specific features that range from simple to more complex. If you would like further information, please contact us.

Treaty Educators is mostly a private site with a membership where people log in, share information and resources, and contact each other. Originally set up to support a conference but has some information for the public.

The Treaty Resource Centre site is also a 'brochure' of our work and primarily shares information and resources for download. It also enables publications to be ordered using an online form.

This is the Federation of Workers Educational Associations’ 'brochure'. It contains links to all the New Zealand WEAs and information for member organisations.

Te Hononga ki ngā Tupuna is a site is primarily for information about a specific te reo programme, kaupapa and teaching and learning methods. Supported by images and videos.

The Tamaki Treaty Workers site was created for a network of Treaty activists with some information for the public and further information available for members on log in.

Culture Matters contains information on culture and people and organisations offering diversity training. It contains an interactive section for learners.

Ngāti Tamaoho are in the middle of negotiating Treaty Claims with the Crown so needed a way of communicating regularly, quickly, easily and cheaply with their 3500 members. They are incorporating the CiviCRM module which means that information about the members will be managed
through the website.

Treaty Topics has been set up to encourage interactive learning with quizzes and other topical activities.
