Centenary celebrations

We celebrated our centenary with events on the weekend of 18-19 October. Speakers Tanya Newman, Paula Bold-Wilson, Alex Barnes and Gayathiri Ganeshan provided perspectives on what aspects might be central to effective education for social justice for the next 100 years.

Thirty years after the very significant hui at Ngaruawāhia which, among many other things, provided direction for tauiwi undertaking Treaty education we reflected on the last 30 years of Treaty education and considered future directions that might be taken to support Treaty relationships. The speakers were Mānuka Henare and Mitzi Nairn.
